4 SL Tamils Released from tiruchy Spl Camp after 3 Years

TIRUCHY:Four Sri Lankan Tamils who had so far been lodged in the special camp in the Tiruchy Central prison under section 3(2)(e) of Foreigners Act, were released on Saturday, after three years.

Ezha Neru (50), an inmate of a refugee camp in Chennai,  was released after three years. Chennai police arrested Ezha Neru on charges of misappropriation in 2012. He was later shifted to Tiruchy special camp in 2013 after keeping him nearly one year at Chengalpattu.

Uma Ramanan (35) of Madurai refugee camp, Ramesh (26) of Erode and Sri Jegan (28) of Chennai, were also released after two years. They were arrested by the Chennai police while they tried to flee to Australia in a boat.
