VELLORE: Hindu Munnani members staged a protest demanding that the collection of fees to view the god’s idol be stopped in Tamil Nadu. The protest was held near the head post office in Anna Salai in Vellore on Sunday morning.

The protesters also raised slogans condemning the darshan fees in Tamil Nadu temples.

“Almost all temples are making a lot money from various other sources. Therefore, charging fees for the darshan is unnecessary,” said a Hindu Munnani member.
