Bonded Labour Awareness Programme

VELLORE: International Justice Mission, in association with the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department organised an awareness program on bonded labour in Ranipet on Wednesday.  Officials said that both revenue and police departments will be conducting surprise checks to identify bonded labour and employers can be arrested without any warrant, warned DSP, N. Mathivanan. The bonded labour helpline number, 805608000 was given to those present.
