THENI:The five member sub-committee appointed to assist the three-member committee constituted by the Supreme Court to monitor the Mullaiperiyar dam, inspected the reservoir site on Friday.
PWD sources said the sub-committee inspected the baby dam and main dam and checked the level of seepage in the more than a century-old structure. The team members later went to the office at Kumili and held discussions on the ways to increase the level and steps to be taken to strengthen the Baby dam. As on Friday, the dam level stood at 127 feet.
