CHENNAI:Chief Electoral Officer Sandeep Saxena on Friday appealed to voters to furnish their mobile numbers and e-mail addresses to get information regarding the status of their applications given for inclusion, deletion etc, during the ongoing summary revision of electoral rolls and to get all electoral services from the poll panel in future.
An intensive campaign will be launched from November 8 in this regard. Already, 22.81 lakh applications had been received and of this, around seven lakh applicants had already provided their mobile numbers. They have all been informed about the status of their applications.
The voters and other applicants can furnish their mobile numbers/e-mail IDs through the following options: EASY App, the Election Department website, IVRS 044-66498949 and via SMS (RMN
In an official release, the CEO said by providing their mobile numbers, voters will have an opportunity to avail electoral services i.e., to check, correct and confirm their electoral roll details and be informed about various services, like knowing their part number, serial number, polling stations etc.
Details of Form 9, an abstract of the list of all those applicants who have given Form 6 applications, Form 10 (abstract of Form 7), Form 11 (abstract of Form 8) and Form 11A (abstract of Form 8A) have been posted on the Election Department website on the link http://104.211.228.47/Apptracking/EmatixGrid.aspx.
