CHENNAI:Governor K Rosaiah and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Friday condoled the demise of Mariammal, mother of MDMK general secretary Vaiko. Expressing grief over the demise of Mariammal, the Governor said she had been a source of motivation and inspiration to Vaiko in his service to the cause of the people. “Her death is an irreparable loss to you and the entire family,” he added. “Mariammal’s demise is indeed an irreparable loss to you. My deepest condolences to you and all the other members of your family,” the Chief Minister said in her message.
