VELLORE: A 54-year-old man lodged a complaint with the police against the Government Hospital (GH), Cheyyar following the death of his four-day-old child on Saturday. However, health department officials say the cause of the death of the child was milk aspiration after being breasfed ruling out negligence. Durai, a coolie, admitted his wife Theen (35) for delivery on Tuesday. She gave birth to a boy on Thursday. The child turned cold and the mother claims she informed the nurse who ignored her. However officials say the child did not respond to treatment by the doctors.
