Auto Driver Returns Missed Laptop of Lady Bank Employee

CHENNAI:A 52-year-old auto-driver was commended by the City Police top brass after he returned a laptop, missed by a passenger, on Wednesday night.

Police said Venkatesan of Triplicane, had ferried Jeyageetha (48), employed with a private bank, to her residence in Kilpauk from Taylors Road, at around 10 pm. After getting home she realised leaving her laptop in the atuorickshaw itself.

 The auto driver who noticed the laptop in the vehicle tried to locate the woman’s house in vain. Later, he handed it over to the Inspector Manivannan of Kilpauk Police at 11.30 pm.
