Man's Body Found in Tirupati Express

PUDUCHERRY: An unidentified dead body was found in the Tirupati Express which reached here Wednesday.

Police said the Tirupati Express reached Puducherry on Wednesday afternoon. The railway workers who were cleaning the compartments  came across the body of the 48-year-old unknown man inside the toilet of an unreserved compartment. They informed the police, who seized the body and sent for post-mortem. The man with tonsured head had no other external injuries and hence reason for his death could be ascertained only after autopsy, police said adding that his identity is yet to be established.

Meanwhile, an employee of the local court died here on Tuesday. Police said Angappan (45) of Nellumandi Theruvu near Muthirayarpalayam near here was working as an office assistant at the integrated Court Complex here. After taking lunch, Angappan went to wash his hands when he suffered fits and fell down in the steps of the second floor of the court building. Angappan suffered serious injuries on his head. His colleagues rushed him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. Orleanpet police have registered a case and investigating.
