Panrutti Part of AIADMK Organising Secy Team

CHENNAI: AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa on Sunday nominated 41 State-level functionaries including former ministers C Ponnaiyan and ‘Panrutti’ S Ramachandran and retained Minister O Panneerselvam as party treasurer. Most of the trusted leaders continue to hold sway in the ruling party.

In a statement, the CM said former Minister E Madhusudanan will be retained as party presidium chairman adding that ministers ‘Natham’ R Viswanathan, R Vaithilingam and ‘Edapadi’ K Palanisamy will remain as party disciplinary committee members.

Jayalalithaa announced that former ministers in the MGR cabinet C Ponnaiyan and ‘Panrutti’ S Ramachandran would be organising secretaries along with Visalakshi Nedunchezhiyan. State Minister Palaniappan would be headquarters secretary and A Thamizhmagan Hussain would be the MGR Manram secretary.

Lok Sabha deputy Speaker, M Thambidurai, will continue as party’s propaganda secretary and ‘Nanjil’ Sampath as the wing’s deputy secretary, while former Minister S Semmalai would be one of the organizing secretaries. Durai Govindarajan will continue as the president of the Agriculture wing while PK Vairamuthu would function as the wing’s secretary. Minister B Valarmathi will continue as Literary wing secretary. M Rasu will be Anna Trade Union president and R Chinnasamy would function as the union’s secretary. A Justin Selvaraj and A Anwar Raja have been nominated as minority welfare secretary, she said and added that Minister RB Udhayakumar will be J Jayalalithaa Forum secretary.

Minister S Gokula Indira, S Raju, A Pappa Sundaram, Dr K Gopal, S Valarmathi and J Jayasingh Thiyagaraj Nattarji and AK Selvaraj will also be organising secretaries and Dr P Venugopal would continue as medical wing secretary. For the advocates wing VS Sethuraman will be president.

KK Kalaimani will be the fishermen wing secretary, while K Radhakrishnan will be the party’s election wing secretary.

R Kamalakannan would function as secretary of drivers wing and women’s wing secretary would be L Sashikala Pushpa.
