CHENNAI: The juvenile home at Kelly’s in Purasawalkam waded into controversy again after seven juveniles suffered injuries following a brawl over allegedly poor quality of food provided to them.

Recently, the home had atracted flak after 30 under trails escaped over night.

On Tuesday, one inmate indulged in a quarrel with the authorities over the quality of dinner. The inmate was shifted to Chengalpattu home after his attempt to escape was foiled last month.

Things went out of control when he turned rough on those who opposed him. This ended in seven juveniles getting physically hurt. Police said that the injuries were minor and treated at the government hospital.
