Tamil Nadu CM Palaniswami opens hostels, sub-registrar offices in State

The CM on Tuesday inaugurated buildings for seven sub-registrar offices constructed at a cost of Rs 3.98 crore in the districts of Sivaganga, Tirunelveli, Kanniyakumari, Kancheepuram and Ariyalur.

CHENNAI: Chief Minister ‘Edappadi’ K Palaniswami on Tuesday inaugurated new buildings for seven sub-registrar offices constructed at a total cost of Rs 3.98 crore in the districts of Sivaganga, Tirunelveli, Kanniyakumari, Kancheepuram and Ariyalur. He declared open these offices through video- conferencing at the Secretariat.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated five hostel buildings for students belonging to backward classes and most backward classes and the office building for Tamil Nadu Backward Classes Economic Development Corporation. All these were built at a cost of Rs 8.26 crore.

Besides, he declared open a hostel at Tiruttani in neighbouring Tiruvallur district for girl students studying in colleges run by Adi Dravida Welfare Department. The hostel with accommodation for 50 students has been built at a cost of Rs 84.63 lakh.
