Hindu Munnani leader C Sasikumar murder: NIA files chargesheet against two accused

On September 22, 2016, C Sasikumar of Subramaniyampalayam near Thudiyalur was brutally hacked to death by a four-member gang while he was returning home on his motorcycle.

NEW DELHI: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday filed a charge sheet in the murder case of Hindu Munnani spokesperson of C Sasi Kumar against two accused identified as Sadham Hussain and Subair.

An investigation against the other accused Abuthagir and Mohammed Mubarak is going on. The NIA will file another chargesheet in a couple of months. In the chargesheet, the NIA has said that when houses of the duo were raided, investigators found incriminating documents and DVDs of Zakir Naik.

“During investigation, NIA conducted searches at the houses of four accused persons in March and recovered PFI donation receipts, PFI literature, PFI Unity March CDs, mobile phones, Compact Disks and pen drives, DVD of Zakir Naik of Islamic Research Foundation and other incriminating documents relating to PFI,” NIA said.

According to sources, the NIA also seized a few challans and receipts of donations to a political party, made almost 12 years back from Mubarak’s house.

On September 22, 2016, C Sasikumar of Subramaniyampalayam near Thudiyalur was brutally hacked to death by a four-member gang while he was returning home on his motorcycle. The Thudiyalur police registered a case and formed eight special teams to nab the murderers and later transferred to CID. Later, the case was taken from CID and transferred to the NIA.
