Justice Karnan’s avatar to purge judiciary of corruption
CHENNAI: A former Calcutta High Court judge, Justice (retd) CS Karnan, who was jailed for defying Supreme Court, will be entering politics by floating a new political outfit ‘Anti Corruption Dynamic Party’ with the objective to weed out corruption from judiciary. The party will be enlisting only women candidates to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The former judge shared with Express on what made him take up this new challenge.
What is the reason for taking the political plunge?
The aim is to weed out corruption from our society in general and judiciary in particular. Judiciary can intervene in the functioning of all institutions such as those pertaining to legislative and executive. But, no one has powers to interfere in the functioning of judiciary. Hence, with an aim to eradicate corruption from judiciary, I have floated the party. I have come across various corruption incidents. Judiciary is the last hope of the layman and I want to protect its sanctity.
How many constituencies your party is going to contest in the forthcoming elections?
We are going to contest all 543 parliamentary constituencies in the country and all candidates will be educated women. The alliance will be decided at the time of elections. In our party, Dalits will not be fielded in general constituency. The existing reservation will be followed strictly as we want equal representation of all communities.
How are you going to identify the candidates?
We have already identified four candidates. They are going to contest in the next parliamentary election on behalf of our party. We have set the benchmark for the candidates who are educated and service-minded.
Can you provide details about the candidates you have chosen for parliamentary elections?
We have identified an educated Brahmin woman for Dum Dum constituency in Kolkata and another from Narikuravar community for Tiruchy constituency and an Anglo-Indian woman for North Chennai constituency.
How do you differentiate your party from other parties?
We are going to offer the Prime Minister’s post for one community for one year. By which, we are going to elect and offer Prime Ministers from five major communities such as Dalits, OBC, MBC, Muslims and Brahmins.
How do you accommodate male members of your party?
We would send them to Rajya Sabha to use their experience and service mind for the country’s welfare. Every day, I am receiving hundreds of phone calls from various parts of the country to join my party.

- Each and every family in India will be provided job opportunity based on their educational qualification.
- Every new born child will be given five cents of land.
- We will close employment offices and open appointment offices instead to offer jobs to educated youth.
- Police personnel would be posted in every village to prevent crimes.
- A teacher will be appointed in every village to serve as tutor and also nurture character among village children.
