CHENNAI: It appears that the Andipatti MLA and supporter of rebel leader TTV Dhinakaran, Thanga Tamilselvan, has earned the wrath of the Bar, if not the Bench, of the Madras High Court.

This is evident from a communication from an eminent advocate that Tamilselvan had allegedly made unfounded and malicious remarks against Chief Justice Indira Banerjee in connection with her June 14 judgement in the 18 MLAs disqualification case.

“I wish to submit that one of the 18 disqualified MLAs Thanga Tamilselvan has been pouring venom on the judiciary, particularly on the CJ, alleging corruption,” advocate A P Suryaprakasam said in his representation addressed to the CJ, on Thursday. Tamilselvan was charging the High Court was being totally controlled by State and Central governments.

“The June 14 judgment was leaked out well in advance to the State government before it was actually delivered on June 14,” Tamilselvan had alleged. He had also stated that the third judge,  Justice S Vimala, appointed in the case would also rule against him as ‘dictated by the State government’.
