8 ITIs to be Upgraded

HYDERABAD: As part of its efforts to build ‘Skilled India’, the Union government would provide `41 crore to eight select Industrial Training Institute(ITIs) in Telangana for their upgradation, Union labour and employment minister Bandaru Dattatreya has said.

Of the total 60 government ITIs in the state, the ITI in Mallepally (Hyderabad)would be developed as a ‘model ITI’ in the country for which the Centre would offer `10 crore for its upgradation, he assured. He inspected the  Mallepally ITI campus on Wednesday.

Speaking to press persons later, he said more trades would be added to the curriculum to ensure that all students get placements. Fot this, he said his ministry is collaborating with industries.
