HYDERABAD: Doordarshan Kendra Hyderabad is divided into two - Saptagiri and Yadagiri. The existing Saptagiri regional channel of DD will cater to the needs of AP. Saptagiri will use the existing studio in Vijayawada for transmitting its programmes. Hyderabad DD studio will be used to cater to the needs of Telangana. The TS DD channel is named as Yadagiri. While Saptagiri represents Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala, Yadagiri represents Lord Narasimha of Yadagirigutta.
