EC Makes Aadhaar EPIC Linkage Easy

The Election Commission’s drive to link Aadhaar with voter ID cards has picked up momentum.

HYDERABAD:The Election Commission’s drive to link Aadhaar with voter ID cards has picked up momentum. Till date, 62.35 per cent voters have been linked to Aadhaar in Telangana. Total duplicates/ineligible/dead or shifted cases identified by booth level officers so far in Telangana so far is 93,22,476, which is 33.74 per cent of the total electors.

According to Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhanwar Lal, in Andhra Pradesh, out of 2.76 crore electors, Aadhaar has been seeded for 1.72 crore electors in Telangana.

The CEO said that to help the voters, a service has been launched through all e-Seva/Mee-Seva/AP Online centres to link Aadhaar with EPIC free of cost from Thursday onwards. All the electors, who have not linked their Aadhaar number with Voter ID, can avail this service at the nearest e-Seva/Mee-Seva centre.
