HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka slammed the state government for trying to curtail freedom of speech.

Referring to the crack down on the activities of Telangana United Front (TUF) and closure of Vimalakka’s office and home, he said the government is trying to muzzle the voice of Vimalakka with the help of the police. “The crackdown on Vimalakka is nothing but a violation of human rights,’’ he added.
The TPCC working president also took exception to the TRS leaders branding TJAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram an “agent of Congress.”

“The government is targetting those who are raising voice against its policies,’’ Vikramarka said. Stating that the TRS fears the Congress will come back to power in 2019 elections, the Congress flayed TRS leaders for their comments, adding that TRS will go on ventilator by 2019 elections and not Congress.
