CM cheated drought-hit people, says Laxman

Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has cheated the people of the drought-hit Mahbubnagar district who stood by him during the movement for separate state, BJP state unit president K Laxman has alleged

MAHABUBNAGAR:Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has cheated the people of the drought-hit Mahbubnagar district who stood by him during the movement for separate state, BJP state unit president K Laxman has alleged.

Addressing a farmers’ meeting here on Wednesday, he said the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy lift irrigation project was being built without taking into account the interests of the farmers of the district.
“The construction of the project from downstream areas was causing injustice to the people of Narayanpet, Kodangal and Makthal Assembly constituencies,” Laxman noted and asked the state government to implement GO No.69 for the benefit of farmers.
The BJP leader raised the issues of farm loan waiver and fee reimbursement, and claimed that the chief minister had tricked the farmers and students of the state.
