‘TRS govt targeting  intelligentsia’

TTDP working president A Revanth Reddy has accused the TRS government of targeting intellectuals and artistes for raising their voice against its “anti-people” policies.

KARIMNAGAR:  TTDP working president A Revanth Reddy has accused the TRS government of targeting intellectuals and artistes for raising their voice against its “anti-people” policies.
Reddy, who came here to attend a temple inauguration on Wednesday, told mediapersons that the government was ignoring artistes who played a key role during Telangana movement and was registering cases against those who were raising their voice against it.

Criticising the government for registering a case against revolutionary singer Vimalakka, the TTDP leader said that the government’s intention was to silence her. “The government is trying to scare people by registering cases,” he said. On criticism of TJAC chairman M.Kodandaram, Revanth Reddy said that the TJAC leader was demanding what had been promised by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao before coming to power.
“He is just reminding the chief minister about his poll promises. Why is Rao becoming restive? TRS leaders should stop criticising Kodandaram,” he said.
