BCs to urge PM Modi to order CBI probe of accused in Mohammed Nayeemuddin case

HYDERABAD: Days after the Telangana Police of Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials grilled LB Nagar MLA R Krishnaiah in connection with slain gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin’s illegal activities case, the All India BC Welfare Association leaders would bring the issue to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s notice by urging him to set up a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the case.

A delegation of BC welfare Association from Telangana would visit New Delhi on November 16 and would call on the Prime Minister.

The association president P Siva Nageswara Rao said in statement that the Telangana government was diverting the probe in Nayeem case by making allegations against a section of political leaders by trying to let off the accused involved in Nayeem’s illegal activities.

“We will take the issue of questioning MLA R Krishnaiah seriously. It was a deliberate act by the state government. We will bring the issue to Prime Minister’s notice,” Siva Nageswara Rao said.
