HYDERABAD: Shifting of Secretariat to six different locations in the city will be done in 10 days time: after Diwali.

The departments of Secretariat will be shifted to BRKR Bhavan and five other places in the city.
Secretaries of various departments were given instructions to this effect on Monday by Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma.

As many as nine senior IAS officers will oversee the process. The shifting will start from BRKR Bhavan. The offices currently located in BRKR Bhavan will be initially shifted to Gruha Kalpa building giving way to the offices of Secretariat department.

Shifting

Irrigation, Roads & Buildings department offices to be moved to Erramanzil

Housing dept offices will go to Urdu Galli

Municipal Administration office to move to DTCP office

Forest department will be moved to Aranya Bhavan

Remaining offices including CMO, GAD and others will be shifted to BRKR Bhavan

DEMOLITION

Meanwhile, the blocks in the Secretariat will be demolished once the offices are moved out. The CM is likely to lay foundation stone for the new Secretariat building before the commencement of Dhanurmasam, sources said.

Vaastu angle

Sources have pointed out that the CMO, which will be located in the ninth floor of BRKR Bhavan, would seldom see the CM as he is unlikely to function from this place

CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has not been regularly attending his office at the current Secretariat citing Vastu reasons. Even if the CMO is shifted to BRKR Bhavan for the time being, Rao will not go to CMO on a daily basis. He would function from his new camp office, to which he is likely to move after Diwali
