Three RR mandals in Shamshabad district

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed the officials  concerned to include three mandals from Rangareddy district to the proposed new district of Shamshabad.

During a review meeting on reorganisation of districts at his camp office on Friday, the CM directed the officials to cut Moinabad, Sankarapalli and Shabad mandals from Rangareddy and include them in the proposed Shamshabad district.

The CM directed the officials to include these changes in the final notification to be issued by revenue officials. Meanwhile, KCR also directed officials to create new mandal Chinna Gudur in Warangal district. The new mandal will be carved out from the existing Maripeda mandal.

In another development, Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma conducted the Task Force Committee meeting at Secretariat and discussed the staff structure for new districts. .

Carve out Adivasi dists, says Kodandaram

Hyderabad: Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram demanded the government to create Adivasi districts. "The Fifth Schedule of Indian Constitution and Panchayats (Extension to Scheduled Areas) Act have provisions for formation of Adivasi districts. The government should respect the Fifth Schedule and PESA Act and carve out Adivasi districts as part of new district formation," Kodandaram said during a state-level meeting of CPI (ML) New Democracy in Hyderabad on Friday.He said there is scope for formation of atleast three Adivasi districts by making slight changes to government's strategy in case of districts formation. "Adilabad, Kothagudem, and Prof K Jayashankar districts can be converted into Adivasi districts," he added.

Madhira also seeks revenue division status

Khammam: While people of Kallur are agitating for a revenue division, now people from Madhira joined their ranks seeking Madhira as revenue division. Advocates in Madhira held a meeting on Friday to demand that the state government declare Madhira as revenue division. They visited the all-party relay hunger strike camp and extended their support.
