KARIMNAGAR: Unable to bear the news about the elopement of their daughter and her subsequent marriage with a person outside their caste, parents of a girl committed suicide by consuming pesticide at Kalvacherla village in Kamanpur Mandal of Karimnagar district on Thursday.
According to police, Orre Parvathalu (45) used to work in Singareni Calories Company Limited (SCCL) in Ramagundam region and his wife Lakshmi (40) used to run a grocery store. Two days ago, their daughter, who is studying BSc (Agriculture), ran away with her boyfriend. They married on Wednesday
According to police, the parents called up their son Sravan in Hyderabad and told him about their decision. Their relatives, who were informed, found them dead.
