Denied entry, Revanth clashes with police in KCR’s village

SIDDIPET : TDP TS unit working president A Revanth Reddy’s aggressive attempt to pay visit to Chinthamadaka, the native village of the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, led to tense moments in the village on Wednesday evening. 


Revanth Reddy, who has been attacking the Chief Minister by raising people’s issues, made an attempt to visit CM’s native place to console the kin of woman farmer Nagamani, who had committed suicide because of financial problems, a week ago. 


But, a huge contingent of police deployed at the outskirts of the village did not allow Revanth to enter the village. On the occasion, there was some conflict between the police and TDP workers in which Siddipet CI Saidulu fell down. Along with him TDP Rythu president V Pratap Reddy also fell down and received minor injuries. 


CI Saidulu told Revanth that if the latter entered the village, there would be law and order problem. But Revanth said he would not leave the place until he meets the farmer’s family.

After a high drama for a while, finally, the police had to bring the family members of the deceased farmer the village outskirts to make them meet Revanth.


On the occasion, Revanth interacted with Padma Reddy husband of deceased Nagamani and enquired about the reason for her suicide. He asked about the details of crop cultivated, reasons for crop losses, had they received any compensation from the government and had their crop loans waived off. 


Laxma Reddy said, “We had crop loss. As a result, we incurred `6 lakh debts. Unable to bare this, Nagamani committed suicide.”


Speaking on the occasion, Revanth demanded that the government pay `6 lakh compensation to the victim’s family, besides providing the children of the deceased, admission in Gurukul schools. He also wanted government to construct a double bedroom house for the family.
