State Haj Committee starts training camp in Telangana

The first training camp for Haj pilgrims was held by Telangana State Haj Committee on Sunday.

HYDERABAD: The first training camp for Haj pilgrims was held by Telangana State Haj Committee on Sunday. On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali said the state government would strive to provide the best facilities to the pilgrims.   

“I will try to ensure that free accommodation and food is provided to the around 1,000 pilgrims in Rubath in Makkah. Last year, free accommodation and free food facilities were provided to around 600 Haj pilgrims. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has instructed to provide all possible facilities to the Haj pilgrims. I want all you pilgrims to pray for the development of the country, the state and our community,” said Mahmood Ali addressing the pilgrims.

SA Shakoor, special officer at Telangana State Haj Committee who presided over the programme, said the pilgrims should exhibit patience and resilience during the Haj.  “The Haj Committee has made the best arrangements for the pilgrims so far and this year, the  arrangements would be even better,” he said.

Meanwhile, MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala requested the pilgrims to pray for peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.  Scholars like Ahmed Shaik ul Jamia Nizamia, Maulana Abdur Rasheed Talha and Maulana Abdur Rahman highlighted the rituals and their significance.
