TRS Foundation Day: Pink Party leaves no stone unturned to ensure massive crowd

WARANGAL: The ruling TRS is doing everything it can to make its foundation day public meeting a success. The meeting will be addressed by Chief Minister and party president K Chandrasekhar Rao.

TRS leaders are trying to mobilise people for the meeting scheduled to be held on April 27 at Prakashreddypet in Hanamkonda. Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, along with finance minister Etela Rajender, flagged off a publicity vehicle on Sunday at Hanamkonda to encourage people to attend the meeting.

TRS MLAs and leaders are engaged in a door-to-door campaign to mobilise people for the meeting. Warangal West MLA D Vinay Bhaskar visited houses in his constituency and requested people to attend the party’s public meeting.

The party leadership want leaders of erstwhile Warangal to mobilise over 4 lakh people for the meeting.
Meanwhile, Kadiyam Srihari held a meeting of TRS peoples’ representatives and leaders of Mahabubabad district and directed them to ensure a large number turnout for the meeting. Srihari told them that the party leadership expected a crowd of 20 lakh for the meeting and it would be mandatory for every leader to mobilise people from their respective constituencies.

According to party sources, the local leaders are under stress as they have to not only mobilise people for the meeting but also raise funds to meet the expenditure of the mega event. The party had ordered 20 lakh water and butter milk packets. Besides, every person attending the meeting has to be provided snacks.

The major challenge before the leaders is to make people ready for the meeting as they are not showing much interest due to the hot weather and the difficulty they would be facing in the meeting the requirements. Many of them feel that achieving the target of 20 lakh would be very difficult.

‘Working’ as labourer, Laxma makes F80K for party

Mahbubnagar: In another instance of role play, Health minister C Laxma Reddy on Sunday worked as a labourer and petrol pump boy in Devarakadra of Mahbubnagar district to earn money for the upcoming party meeting in Warangal.  The minister, in his short stint, earned Rs 80,000. He first visited Devarakadra market yard and worked as a labourer. Later, he went to a petrol station and worked as a filling boy.  The health minister also participated in different development programmes held in Devarakadra and Chinna Chintakunta mandals along with local MLA A Venkateswar Reddy. 

The health minister laid a foundation stone for the construction of a community hall for the fisheries cooperative society in Pardhipoor village. He also unveiled the statue of BR Ambedkar on the occasion.  Later, Laxma Reddy launched Mission Kakatiya works. He conducted Bhumi puja for the construction of 33/11 kV substation in Bandarupally villages.

Etela asks cadre to mobilise 2L people from erstwhile K’nagar

Finance minister Etela Rajender called upon party peoples’ representatives and activists to make party foundation day scheduled to be held on April 27 in Warangal, successful. The finance minister along with MLAs V Satish Kumar, B Shobha, G Kamalakar and Rasamai Balakishan held a preparatory meeting at a private function hall for party foundation day meeting here on Sunday. He urged the party leaders to mobilise at least 2 lakh people from erstwhile Karimnagar for the meeting. Every party worker including MLAs would explain welfare schemes, which were being implementing in the state to the people, he said.

Referring over party membership drive, the Telangana population count is 3.50 crore, of which 75 lakh took the TRS membership.
