Minor daughter of daily wage labourer raped and killed in Wanaparthy of Telangana

WANAPARTHY: A six-year-old daughter of a daily wage labourer was sexually assaulted and brutally killed at Peddagudem village in Wanaparthy district of Telangana, the police said.  

Ramakrishna, Narasimha and Madhu, all natives of Kollapur mandal who were supervising the construction where the girl's father was working have been identified as the prime accused. 

The parents of the girl had filed a missing report of their daughter with the police three days ago. During the investigation, it was found that three workers who were consuming alcohol at the construction site on the day the girl went missing.  

Wanaparthy CI Venkateshwarlu said the accused persons, who work as masons, came to Peddagudem to work in an under construction house on November 10. On completion of the day’s work, they sat for a drinking session. Then, the six-year-old daughter of the daily wage labourer, who was assisting the accused in their works, came to them. On seeing the girl, the accused Ramakrishna offered her a chocolate and sexually abused her. Later, fearing that he would be caught, he killed the girl and kept her dead body on the shelf of the house. 

The three accused confessed to their crime during an interrogation, the police added. 

The girl's body has been shifted to Wanaparthy government area hospital for autopsy. 

More details would be received only after postmortem, the CI added. 

The parents who turned inconsolable after seeing their daughter's dead body have demanded stern action against the accused.
