KHAMMAM: Two days after the alleged encounter in Mellamadugu forest in Bhadadri Kothagudem district in which eight suspected members of CPI-ML Chandra Pulla Reddy Baata faction were gunned down, the police on Saturday found the body of another slain naxal in the forest taking the toll in the gunfight to nine.

 The body was found inside the dense bushes near the encounter site on Saturday by the police. The body of the slain naxalite was identified as that of Rachakonda Kiran alias Karthik, a native of Kambalapalli village in Mahaboobabad district. Police recovered one 8 mm rifle and 50 rounds bullets from the place. 
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in Yellandu agency area and special forces have been deployed.
