BJP state unit in Telangana turns to social media

As part of their efforts to create an awareness among party cadres about the impact of social media on electors, the leaders were engaged in teaching party workers how to use social media.

HYDERABAD: All BJP leaders, right from party national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao, BJP Telangana unit president K Laxman to party state general secretary G Premchander Reddy, were seen busy using social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter on Sunday.

As part of their efforts to create an awareness among party cadres about the impact of social media on electors, the leaders were engaged in teaching party workers how to post comments on various current issues on social media.

Like Congress and TJAC, the BJP state leadership too has asked its cadres across state to use social media extensively.

During the workshop organised at an auditorium at Osmania University on Sunday, under the guidance of Amit Malviya, the party national in-charge of IT cell, party state unit chief K Laxman asked the cadres to use social media to the fullest to publicise the Central government schemes.

Meanwhile, in Karimnagar, BJP national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao accused TRS government of indulging in large scale corruption. He said his party would expose the state government.
