TJAC to hold seminar in Delhi against TRS

HYDERABAD: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC), headed by M Kodandaram, has decided to take its fight against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s government to the national capital. The organisation on Monday announced that it would hold a seminar in New Delhi on August 21 to expose the ‘dictatorial attitude of the state government’. The TJAC would also organise a dharna at Jantar Mantar, with the name, ‘Save Dharna Chowk’, on August 22 to exert pressure on TS government to drop its proposal to shift dharna chowk from Indira Park to peripheral areas of Hyderabad.

On a day when Kodandaram was arrested by Sangareddy district police, during his efforts to stage a protest in support of Konda Pochamma Reservoir oustees, TJAC held its meeting in Hyderabad on Monday and made resolutions to step up its attack on TRS. As per the resolutions passed, the organisation decided to intensify its fight against government’s move to acquire lands for constructing Konda Pochamma Reservoir. The organisation also announced that it would hold its third phase of Telangana Martyrs’ Inspiration Yatra in Gajwel Assembly constituency, represented by the CM , on July 30. The TJAC will organise a ‘walk’ in Hyderabad on August 6 to create awareness among people on the ill-effects of drugs.
