HYDERABAD: The state government can hereafter expedite the construction of all irrigation projects in the state including the controversial Mallanna Sagar.
Hurdles for land acquisition for projects have been removed with the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition and, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (Telangana Amendment) Bill 2016 becoming an Act.
The Act came into force on Wednesday with the state issuing a gazette notification.
