HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday reviewed the ongoing Kaleshwaram project works live on a TV screen at Pragathi Bhavan along with Irrigation minister T Harish Rao and other officials.


Cameras installed at the workplaces transmitted the entire procedure live to Hyderabad and through live streaming, the CM and others watched the works pertaining to barrages, intake wells, pump houses on either side of Godavari. At a review on irrigation sector, Rao expressed happiness over works on the Kaleshwaram project.


The CM was reportedly happy with the excavation for the tunnel between Yellampally and Mallanna Sagar. Of the 81 km, works on a length of 78.55 km length was completed. 


Expressing satisfaction over the hard work at the project sites, Rao directed the officials to set a December 2018 target for the completion of barrage works.


Chandrasekhar Rao also instructed officials to pump water from Kanepalli pump House and release water through SRSP and other canals into tanks.The Cm also asked officials to construct a reservoir at Imamabad near Siddipet with a capacity of 3 tmc ft.All the works of the project should be completed simultaneously, the CM directed officials.
