HYDERABAD: Alleging that chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is showing more interest to provide rehabilitation to retired babus and create posts for the jobless politicians in the ruling party rather than taking steps to provide employment to unemployed youth in the state, BJP state unit chief K Laxman called upon the job-seekers in the State to attend the proposed Nirudyoga Samara Bheri public meeting to be held at Saroornagar Stadium on November 26.

“There are as many as 3 lakh jobs, which are lying vacant in various government departments. CM on his own told the State Assembly earlier that there were 1.12 lakh vacant posts in the government. We demand that the government fill at least the 1.12 lakh posts as claimed by the CM at the earliest as lakhs of unemployed youth across the State are eagerly waiting for job recruitment notifications,” Laxman said.

While addressing mediapersons here on Friday, the BJP leader said his party would continue to organise agitations to exert pressure on the government to make it fill all vacant posts as per the ruling TRS poll promise. “If we observe the government’s attitude towards filling the vacant posts, we can easily understand the fact that it is not sincere in keeping its promise of filling all vacant posts. All the notifications issued by the TSPSC so far to fill vacant posts are surrounded by controversies.

The latest recruitment drive being taken up to fill over 8,000 teacher posts has invited the wrath of the  High Court. The Court on Friday severely rapped the government for issuing the notification considering 31 districts as units, instead of previous 10 districts,” he attacked. The BJP leader further alleged that because of the wrong decisions taken by the TSPSC and the government, several recruitment notifications were surrounded by controversies, leaving the job-seekers in a state of uncertainty.
