Mega turnout expected at KCR’s public meet

Local TRS leaders are working overtime to make the public meeting to be addressed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at the foundation laying venue of the proposed Kakatiya

WARANGAL: Local TRS leaders are working overtime to make the public meeting to be addressed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at the foundation laying venue of the proposed Kakatiya Mega Textile Park on Sunday a grand success. The leaders are hiring a whopping 5,000 vehicles, including 2,000 RTC and 600 private buses to transport over 2 lakh people to the meeting.

 The district leadership has appointed constituency wise incharges to mobilise people for the meeting. Each MLA is asked to mobilise at least 25,000 people from their respective segment. About 400 acres is earmarked for vehicle parking. The party is making arrangements for over 5 lakh water and butter milk sachets for the people attending the meeting.  

The district administration is also making elaborate arrangements for the four events being attended by the CM. All the roads leading to the four venues are repaired and a fresh layer is laid. Over 2500 police personnel would be deployed for the event. Bomb squad, dog squad, special police and reserve police will be deployed at the venues and sensitive areas.

The Cabinet and ruling party MLAs are likely to attend the event. The CM would be using the  platform to tell the people the development works being carried out by his government and for hitting out at the Opposition, who joined hands in launching anti-government movement.The Opposition parties including Congress, TDP and Left parties staged a protest at Ambedkar Circle against the visit of the CM to the district. They stated that since he has not fulfilled promises made to the people of Warangal, he has no right to  visit the district.
