We will create more than 1.12 lakh jobs: CM K Chandrasekhar Rao

Says government will welcome any constructive suggestions in this regard but would not tolerate baseless charges.

HYDERABAD: A day ahead of TJAC’s proposed Koluvalaku Kotlata protest demanding filling up of government vacancies, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao reiterated in the Assembly that his government is committed to recruiting people for the 1.12 lakh vacancies at the earliest.Intervening during question hour in the Assembly on Monday, Rao said the government, in fact, would provide 1,000 more jobs than promised. Telangana State has nearly four lakh sanctioned posts.

Referring to objections of Congress members allegations against non-fulfillment of jobs, Rao said his government would welcome any constructive suggestions in this regard but would not tolerate baseless charges.He also appealed to the Opposition parties to refrain from making allegations against TSPSC Chairman Ghanta Chakrapani adding that the UPSC appreciated the latter for initiating reforms in the recruitment process. 

As Chakrapani brought many revolutionary changes in Telangana. This had earned him a lot of appreciation from UPSC, the CM pointed out.Addressing charges on the irregularities in Group II exams and the role of TSPSC, KCR appreciated the services being rendered by the commission. Rao said Telangana is the first state in the country to provide financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh to SC, ST and BC students for higher studies abroad. 

The Chief Minister said the state government would furnish details of amount spent on students from weaker sections while introducing the SC/ST Sub-plan Bill in the Assembly shortly.
