Telangana police take steps to prevent Maoist activities

The Telangana state police officials have alerted the district police asking them to be vigilant and keep track of Maoist movement.

HYDERABAD: Following Maoist ambushing three persons including two security personnel and an employee of a contractor in Sukma of Chhattisgarh, the Telangana state police officials have alerted the district police asking them to be vigilant and keep track of Maoist movement.  

In view of the recent killings of three persons in Chhattisgarh, around 30 kilometers away from the Telangana state, officials concerned are closely monitoring the situation and directing the forces to take precautions measures during combing operations. Five days ago, the Bastar Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vivekananda Sinha visited Khammam where the Maoist activity is taking place and interacted with the Telangana senior officials including North Zone IG Y Nagi Reddy, Greyhound IG Sreenivasa Reddy and SIB IG Sajjanar.  

In the meeting, senior officials have made elaborate discussions over the Maoist activities, cadre strengthening of party, most affected places in the border, security measures to be taken to prevent untoward incidents.
