Consider plea of retired employees Housing Boards: Hyderabad HC

While disposing of the petition, the bench directed the authorities of AP and Telangana housing boards to consider the petitioners’ representation and pass appropriate orders within four weeks.

HYDERABAD: Giving relief to some retired employees, a division bench of the High Court has directed the respective vice-chairmen of AP and Telangana housing boards to consider the representation of employees of the erstwhile housing board who retired from service before June 2, 2014 and to pass appropriate orders within four weeks.

The bench, comprising acting chief justice Ramesh Ranganathan and justice K Vijaya Lakshmi passed the order on a petition filed by B Kumara Swamy and some other retired employees seeking directions to the authorities concerned to pay the benefit of the pay scales of housing board which were revised in 2013.  
They also sought payment of dearness relief from July 1, 2015 to August 31, 2017 and enhanced pension as per the revised pay scales with effect from June 2, 2014.

While disposing of the petition, the bench directed the authorities of AP and Telangana housing boards to consider the petitioners’ representation and pass appropriate orders within four weeks.
