Ration dealers call off strike in State

After days of drama, the Telangana ration dealers associations have withdrawn its statewide indefinite strike on Tuesday.

HYDERABAD: After days of drama, the Telangana ration dealers associations have withdrawn its statewide indefinite strike on Tuesday. The  State government has sent clear signals that it will solve issues of the fair price shops dealers.

The talks between leaders of ration dealers and ministers by E Rajender, C Laxma Reddy, and M Padma Devender Reddy seem to have yielded a positive result as they assured to solve their demands.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is ready to do the justice to ration dealers, Civil Supplies Minister E Rajender said while adding that after formation of Telangana state, many issues related to ration dealers have been resolved.

The dealer’s problems will be taken up with the CM. The state government will extend the time to pay the demand drafts for ration dealers.

Ramesh Babu, state president of the ration dealers association, said, “The ministers have guaranteed to take dealers’ issues to the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. We hope that demands will be solved very soon. We requested minimum wages for monthly and pending commission dues.”
