HYDERABAD: After the Maharashtra government proposed to allow food inside movie theatres, two advocates from the city submitted a representation to the controller of legal meteorology to do the same in TS as well.

Representation was to curtail the practice of charging exorbitant rates by food vendors. On Saturday, last week, two advocates gave a representation to the controller of legal meteorology, Akun Sabharwal highlighting the over-priced products sold in multiplexes.

“A myriad of senior citizens, children, diabetic patients and those who are suffering from other ailments are constant movie-goers and they are, in a literal sense, compelled to leave their food and other beverages outside the entrance of the theatre,” PVG Umesh Chandra and Somasekhar, the two advocates in the letter said.
