HYDERABAD: Stating that the Congress is not in a position to take on the BJP at a national level, TRS MP K Kavitha expressed admiration for the welfare programmes and development works being implemented by the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.

Her Statement assumes significance as the main opposition, Congress, in the State has been alleging that there is a “secret” understanding between TRS and BJP at the national level.

Turning to AP affairs, Kavitha wondered at the way TDP in the truncated State was for one-more-time getting ready to move a no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi government in the monsoon session of Parliament. “TDP shared power with the BJP all these years. As elections are around the corner, the party came out of NDA and has started attacking BJP. Hence, people of AP should think about the TDP strategies,” she commented.

Interestingly, the TRS MP approved of the YSRC MPs’ efforts to exert pressure on the Centre to get Special Category Status to AP by resigning from their posts. When asked whether the TRS backed the no-trust move proposed by TDP against Modi government, Kavitha said the pink party leadership will take a decision on this, if at all the notice moved by TDP is accepted for voting.
