HYDERABAD: With Speaker Sumitra Mahajan admitting the no-confidence motion moved by the opposition parties led by TDP against the Narendra Modi government at the Centre in the Lok Sabha, the ruling TRS in the State has begun sending clear signals that it is against such move.

TRS MP B Vinod Kumar on Wednesday categorically said their party could not support the motion moved by the TDP, “which is opposing irrigation projects being built in Telangana.”  It is learnt that a final call in this regard would be taken by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. “Whether to vote against the motion or to remain neutral or to stage a walkout before voting will be finalised by KCR, after discussing with MPs” another MP said.

Earlier, while addressing media in Delhi,  Vinod Kumar said, “Its irrelevant to us whether they moved the no-confidence motion against the Modi government or not. Have they (TDP) consulted us before issuing the notice to move the motion?”

Stating that the TRS too has been demanding the Centre that all promises given to both the Telugu-speaking States during bifurcation, be implemented without fail, he made it clear that the pink party always wants the Union government to fulfil promises given to AP. But, the pink party was in no way connected with the no-trust motion moved by the TDP, he added. He stated that the TRS members will take part in the debate.

“We will raise unfulfilled promises including the delay in bifurcating the Hyderabad High Court and setting up of steel plant at Bayyaram,” Vinod said.
