Don’t put hoardings on my birthday, says Minister K T Rama Rao

HYDERABAD: Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD), KT Rama Rao has requested party workers, leaders and others not to give advertisements or put up any hoardings on his birthday which falls on July 24.

Those spending money on hoardings, advertisements and also giving flower bouquets on his birthday should instead donate the same to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) which would help in providing medical treatment to poor and needy who cannot afford the treatment. Minister also directed GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy to get all such birthday hoardings removed as soon as possible.

KTR invited to talk at the global conference on climate change in California

IT Minister KT Rama Rao has received an invite to speak at the Global Climate Action Summit that will be held at San Fransisco, California from September 12-14. The invitation was sent to Rao by Governor of California Edmund G. Brown Jr. In his letter to Rao, the Governor requested him to talk on the topic of future of energy and transport systems along with presenting in his talk initiatives taken by Telangana government to tackle the issue of climate change, to an audience which would include government representatives.
