Three arrested for killing woman, chopping off feet

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police took three persons, including a woman, into custody aster 55-year-old woman’s body was found dumped in Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Eragadda with her feet chopped.  On Thursday afternoon, the body of Lakshmi Narsamma was found dumped outside IMH’s male open ward and her chopped feet were found on the terrace of the building. Earlier, police said that she was murdered for her silver anklets.

The news was flashed in media and later her photo and identity marks were sent to all police stations. A day before the body was found, Jubilee Hills police received a complaint stating that the 55-year-old was missing.

The information was passed on to SR Nagar police who were investigating into the case. They learnt that Narsamma was taking care of her pregnant daughter who lives in Rehmathnagar. On June 13, when she wanted to have toddy, her son-in-law dropped her at a toddy shop. Based on the details, SR Nagar police who got clues about suspects after checking CCTV grabs, caught and questioned the suspects.
