HYDERABAD: Georges Monin SAS, a French food and beverages company will invest `100 crore in setting up its production facility in Telangana.

Industries department principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan and president of Georges Monin SAS Olivier signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on

Tuesday in this regard. The company produces flavoured syrups used in foods and beverages.
“With its progressive industrial policy, Telangana continues to attract foreign investments to the State. Adding the latest feather to its cap, the State has signed an MoU with Georges Monin SAS,” an official release read.

“With an investment of up to `100 crore, Georges Monin SAS will set up production facilities in the State to manufacture gourmet flavour from a wide range of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and nuts.”
“The unit is expected to generate more than 200 direct and indirect employment opportunities in the state,” an official release said.

Stating that the State government is encouraging food processing sector in the state, KTR said: “We will provide complete assistance to Georges Monin SAS in setting up of its unit in the State.”
