Drunk like a fish, auto driver caught ferrying nine children to school

 In a shocking incident, an auto driver from the city was found driving under the influence of alcohol with as many as 9 school going children in the auto.

HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident, an auto driver from the city was found driving under the influence of alcohol with as many as 9 school going children in the auto. At 8.30 a.m when he was nabbed, the  breath analyser test revealed that his blood alcohol content(BAC) count was a whopping 228 mg/100 ml blood against the permissible 30 mg/ml. A case was registered against Mohd Jalal, a resident of Chandrayanagutta. According to police, Jalal was riding the auto with children from Falaknuma to St Joseph’s school in Koti.  Police seized the vehicle and counselled the parents. 

In a special drive against autorickshaws carrying schools children, the Hyderabad traffic police have registered 130 cases. Also nine auto drivers were found driving autos without driving license. Police found an auto (AP 11 W 2031) carrying excess school children in a dangerous condition in Koti. Police have asked parents to be vary of the autodrivers, and check validity of documents etc.
