HYDERABAD: The Telangana state government’s idea of forest conservation seems to include putting up exotic birds in cages for display at public parks.

Environment and Forest minister AI Reddy inaugurated a walk-in aviary developed at the oxygen urban forest park on the city’s outskirts at Kandlakoya on Thursday. The aviary has various bird species including conures, cockatiels and, macaws.
