The Income-Tax department conducted a raid at JD(S) leader K C Veerendra’s residence and recovered cash totalling
to `6.6 crore from a secret chamber in the bathroom. The search began last week at Veerendra’s house in Karnataka. In all, cash amounting to `5.7 crore in `2,000 denominations and `90 lakh in 100 and 20 rupee notes were found.
