Concerned over poor maintenance of public toilets, the Ministry of Urban Development has decided to implement technology-based solutions to get real-time feedback from users.
In a letter to states, the ministry has said urban local bodies are responsible for maintenance of public toilets located in establishments such as market places, petrol pumps, malls and commercial complexes etc.
In order to monitor cleanliness, the toilets will have small equipments and users can register their feedback by pressing buttons.
